They neither knew each other since their childhood, nor did they share a shaver. They didn't even reside in the same community house. It was in fact a long lasting relationship, characterized by only a very few common predilections, such as bar hopping or the fine art of music. Again and again struggling for an answer, where to find self-actualization: in extasy of striking the 6 strings in the front vs. a 4-string-fulfillment in the background. None of these beliefs could take over up to now.
However, in 1996 the decision was made to carry out the dispute within a public music project, with the intention to let the audience vote. For this purpose, Tom TC and Marcone hired Roman Lentsch (drums) and Johnny T (vocals). That way it was agreed to extend this collaboration. But this lead to the next problem: a band name had to be found. And of course, the inevitable accident happened: no agreement in sight. The band members had simply nothing in common. Nothing in Common? That's it, N.I.C. was born! But ahead there was still a long and winding road, paved with pseudo-talented wannabe musicians. Roman Lentsch and Johnny T quit the band quite soon, and Tom TC and Marcone had to suffer thousands and thousands of hours of rehearsals with potential successors, often far beyond the threshold of pain. It's incredible what people call themselves "musician" but it's a different story...
The microphone was passed from one hand to the next. Lucky them - or was it a twist of fate??? - that Sarah Martin quit her job at C-BRA to become the chief discussion officer of N.I.C. Her decision to join caused a wind of change: the band not only benefited from her powerful voice, but also enhanced its songs by pop elements. While working on new songs, the search for a human supplement in the rhythm section was initiated again. Finally crowned by success: Tom PD joined N.I.C. in the middle of 2005. His skills, ambition, creativity and sense of humor convinced the band at first sight. The team, reinforced with a new V8 engine, started to combine its own creativity with the greatest hits of the millenium. The dispute continues, but the basis for the further development has changed from male mainstream to female rock in perfection.
